Our Grant Funders

Grant funding has historically been the largest single source of financial support for SCPA, covering around half of our core costs. We make grant applications (historically with a high success rate) on a steady basis to manage the resources of SCPA.

During the last four years, we have received grants from the following Grant-making trusts:

  • Adnams Community Fund (for staff and volunteer training)
  • Belsted-Ganzoni Charitable Settlement (for core costs)
  • Brooks Foundation* (for core costs)
  • Coop Local Community Fund* (for core costs)
  • Diocesan Centenary Fund* (for core costs)
  • Garfield Weston Foundation (for core costs)
  • Iken Fund* (for core costs)
  • MSE Charity (for Schools work)
  • Rope Trust (for a variety of general and specific purposes)
  • Suffolk Giving Fund* (for core costs)
  • SCF Surviving Winter Appeal* (for our Relief Fund)
  • Valhalla Ventures (for Employment Support and Debt Help)

Funds marked thus * are administered by the Suffolk Community Foundation.

We are happy to make applications to fund specific activities where that aligns closely with the grant-making trusts charitable objectives although our clear preference is to apply for core costs as this gives us flexibility to use the grant where it is most needed.

Naturally, we also welcome multi-year grant funding as this gives us greater predictability in our finances.

Finally, we always seek to develop a long-term relationship with grant-funders: we want them to see the impact that their funding has on the wellbeing of those who turn to us for help and support.
