Service users and course participants come to us in many different ways, which can be grouped together in three different channels:
- direct access: using our help phone number (07942 359865) or email address (help@scpa.uk) or through a growing number of clinic sessions
- via Christians Against Poverty: for those requiring Debt Help only and
- through Referral Agencies.
We work with a large number of different referral agencies, whose relationship we greatly value. Some referrals are in the form of signposting, whilst others are more of a hand-over (i.e. the referral agency contacts our team to discuss and refer the potential service user). Either way works well (but we do like to know who the referring organisation is).
These include:
- Job Centre+
- New Tide Housing
- East Suffolk District Council
- local Foodbanks and other food providers
- Social Prescribers and
- Churches
