As summer ends, the cold reality returns

As the warmth of summer fades, we can be thankful for the many sunny days we have enjoyed. For those living in poverty, summer has meant being able to stay warm without worrying about heating costs. But now, with colder months on the horizon, anxiety is returning. For people on low incomes, winter means difficult choices between keeping warm or having food.

We are continuing to increase the ways we support people experiencing poverty and to help people from getting into debt and poverty. In addition to our core service of helping people get out of debt, we are now providing a growing range of services including adult, schools-based and prison-based financial education, life skills courses, counselling and emergency support.

To meet increasing demand for our services from our trusted referral partners, we have had to increase our cost base to around £60,000 per annum. We rely totally on grants and donations. With your support, whether through a donation or by volunteering, we could reach more people, earlier, and help prevent cold, hunger, and despair.

Will you help us bring warmth and hope to those in poverty this winter?
